King Company

2. Kompanie does many alternate impressions, however they tend to always be German, and more specifically SS. In 2014, for the first time, 2. Kompanie portrayed men from the U.S. Army, as "King Company."

King Company was organized in support of a full immersion tactical event based on the fighting in the Hurtgen Forest, in Fall 1944. This event will be held yearly, in Waverly, TN, as "Schlacht im Hurtgenwald: 1944".

King Company is comprised of members of 2. Kompanie, as well as members of various other units. This group is not your traditional re-enacting unit, we would consider it more of a project.

Any member of King Company can be a member of any other organization, or they can just be members of only King Company or 2. Kompanie. In fact, most members of King Company do it as an alternate impression. 2. Kompanie will only officially portray King Company once or twice a year, however other members of King Company may attend any events they choose as members of King Company. The main event for this group will always be Schlacht im Hurtgenwald, every February.

We have not decided on any other official events for King Company, however please stay tuned, this is a new, and growing group.

As of today, the men of King Company portray soldiers from the U.S. 28th Infantry Division, however we are open to other units, and may portray other units as time goes on. However, King Company will always remain a group that portrays U.S. Infantrymen. There are not enough groups that portray the common G.I. infantryman, most want to portray Airborne or elite troops. We are here to fill the void.
