2. Kompanie Rules and regulations
1. Once a year, full time members must pay annual dues to the WWII HRS Organization.
2. All items loaned out must be returned to the unit quartermaster. Any issue in regards to damaged or missing items is to be addressed at that time.
3. After the last skirmish of the day, the unit is to fall in with full kit, with weapons for a final inspection. Any issues with equipment or weapons are to be noted, to be repaired prior to the next event.
4. Following the inspection, the Waffenmeister will lead the unit in a weapons cleaning session.
5. Before leaving an event, all unit members must assist in breaking camp and loading vehicles.
6. No drinking in camp unless in a period container, preferably a mess tin. If drinking during the day time, each beer must be approved by the Gruppenfuhrer, to insure no members are handling firearms while intoxicated.
7. All drinking after hours must be done in a respectable manner. We need to respect our neighbor units and keep sound and behavior at a respectable level.
8. Being intoxicated is forbidden, until the unit is dismissed for the day.
9. Absolutely no incorrect or farby food containers or items in camp, and all trash and farb items are to be disposed of in one of the units burlap bags.
10. No use of illegal drugs in the 2. Kompanie camp, and this includes open drinking when it is forbidden at a specific location.
11. All recruits have two years to acquire their full kit and rifle, and after two years, if they still do not have their impression complete, they must rent items from the unit to borrow at events.
12. No t-shirts. If a member is wearing a cotton undershirt, it must be of the tank top pattern, no full t-shirts with sleeves. Wear your service shirt.
13. Any members above the rank of SS-Rottenfuhrer must have an additional enlisted to tunic to wear at events when the unit has low numbers.
14. All members, during event hours, are to follow orders given by any member of senior rank, unless the order is unfair or immoral, in which case the issue is to be taken to the unit commander.
15. Proper grooming is expected. Uniforms do NOT have to be cleaned and pressed before each event. In fact, used, battle-worn looking uniforms are encouraged for battles. However, if your uniform is noticeably worn, a more presentable version will be required for barracks impressions and public displays, typically termed your “walking out uniform”.
16. No medals, decorations, ranks, awards, or other insignia will be permitted unless earned and presented by the unit, or by unit commanders permission.
17. Every member must have a proper hair cut. Although the German style is preferred, as long as the hair is off the collar and ears, and in a military style, it is acceptable.
18. Any member with glasses has up to two years to get a pair of period glasses. If they do not get period glasses, or wear contacts, they will not be allowed to wear their glasses, or use a firearm at public events.
19. No piercings on visible parts of the body are allowed in uniform.
20. Chewing tobacco was primarily an American habit in the 1930’s and 1940’s, not a German one. While in uniform, dip, chew, chaw, and the like are forbidden.
21. Behave in a responsible and respectable manner, with mind to the fact that we are portraying real mean, who sacrificed a lot.
22. Do not talk to the press. Please direct them to an NCO or an Officer for any questions.
23. Must be in an approved uniform at events, no items that are not on our list will be allowed for use by members unless cleared through the unit commander. This means don't show up in your Dot 44 because you think it looks cool when we are portraying a unit in 1940.
24. Always wear the correct collar insignia for the unit we are portraying. Since we portray multiple units, it's important to know who we are portraying at any given event and come prepared with the impression for that event. Cuff titles are always optional. If you need insignia, or help sewing, or have questions on this matter, talk with an NCO or the unit commander.
25. Do not leave the camp area, or the area of operations during tacticals without contacting your Gruppenfuhrer. If you want to go walk around at a public event, or go scout at a tactical, let your team leader know so we always know where all our members are.
26. Never, under any circumstance, bring live ammunition to an event.
27. No fighting, arguing, or griping to other units or event staff. If you have an issue, take it to the unit commander and it will be addressed.
28. If you are not able to attend an event, let the unit commander know as early as possible. Last minute drops lead to extra items and food being brought to events.
29. Smoking is permitted anywhere except in the field when ordered by a superior, and when in formation. Non-filtered cigarettes and period lighters are preferred, however if your cigarette does have a filter, do not smoke it in front of the public and be sure to always hold it covering the filter.
30. Shave your face and cut your hair. You are portraying a soldier, not Oddball from Kelly's Heroes. If a member should show up with facial hair, they will be made to shave with the unit loaner razor, which is terrible. If a member should show up without a haircut, they will receive a butchered hair-cut with an electric razor or they will not participate.
